Courses & Eligibility

LYU offers a wide range from certificate to doctoral programs:

Undergraduate (3 years)

• B.Sc. (Yoga Education) – Ashtang Yoga
• B.A. (Karma-Gyan-Bhakti Yoga)
  • Eligibility: 10+2 with ≥ 50–55% marks 

Postgraduate (2 years)

• M.Sc. (Yoga Education – Ashtang Yoga)
• M.A. (Karma-Gyan-Bhakti Yoga)
  • Eligibility: Graduation with ≥ 50% marks 

Diploma / PG Diploma

• Diploma in Ashtang Yoga (2 years) – 10+2
• Diploma in Karma–Gyan-Bhakti Yoga (2 years) – 10+2
• PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy (1.5 years) – Graduation

Certificates & Short Courses

Yoga Instructor Certificate (200-hour) – Full-time, ~3 months – 10+2

Research Programs

• M.Phil. & Ph.D. in Yoga specializations
  • Eligibility: Master’s degree + NET/SLET/GATE or university entrance

Admission Process & Key Dates

• Eligibility – Based on previous academics + for research – NET/SLET/etc. 
• Application – Online/offline via LYU website or university office 
• Merit-based – For UG/PG/diploma/certificate. Research programs require valid entrance scores.
• Counseling – Eligible candidates are called for seat allocation after merit list
• Document submission – Includes 10th/12th/graduation mark sheets, category, income certificate, photos, etc. 

Important Dates:

• UG/PG Applications typically open in November, closing in mid-December
• For session 2025–26, ongoing admissions with last date ~31 July 2025 

Required Documents

• Mark sheets & passing certificates (10th/12th/graduation)
• Category/income certificates (if applicable)
• Transfer/admit certificates
• Passport-sized photographs

Entrance & Merit Details

• No entrance tests for UG/PG/diploma/certificate—admission based on academic merit.
  • B.Sc: ≥50–55% in 12th; PG: ≥50% in graduation 
• Research programs: require qualifying scores (UGC‑NET, SLET, GATE, etc.) plus university interview/testing
