The Assam Science & Technology University Act of 2009 formed the Assam Science & Technology University (ASTU), which located in Jalukbari, Guwahati, Assam, and started for business in 2010. It is the only and greatest technical university in Northeast India that is dedicated to fostering education, research, and innovation in STEM and professional subjects. ASTU offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate (B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc, B.Arch, BCA, B.Des, etc.), postgraduate (M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, MCA, M.Arch, etc.), and doctoral (Ph.D.) programs that mix modern curriculum with local innovation. The UGC, AICTE, and NAAC all recognize the institution. Procedure for Admission and Eligibility

 1. ASTU's Assam Combined Entrance Examination (Assam CEE) is the entrance exam for undergraduates (UG) pursuing a B.Tech. 

1.  Qualifications: 10+2 with at least 50% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics); applicants must have 45% SC and 40% ST. 
2.  Ages 17 to 21 (with relaxations) and Assam residency are essential. 
3.  Dates (2025): Exam date: April 27; Admit Card mid-April; Application deadline: February 27.
4.  Selection and Enrollment: Based on Assam CEE results, with DTE Assam counseling coming next. JEE  In certain situations, main scores are also accepted. 

 2. Additional Undergraduate Programs B.Arch: 10+2 with ≥50% + NATA 

1.  A 10+2 with at least 50% in pertinent disciplines is required for B.Pharm, B.Sc., BCA, B.Des, BTM, etc.; admission or merit-based (e.g., GPAT for pharmacy). 

 3. Postgraduate (PG) M.Tech/M.E: Valid GATE/ASTUEE + Graduation (≥50%) 

1.  MBA: Completion (at least 50%, 45 percent for SC/ST) plus CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT 
2.  MCA: BCA, B.Sc., or B.A. degree with mathematics (≥50%) and JMEE 
3.  M.Pharma, M.Arch, M.Sc., and M.Plan: Merit plus corresponding undergraduate credentials.

 4. Diploma and Ph.D. D.Pharm: passing the 10th grade with at least 35% 

1.  Ph.D.: Postgraduate (M.Phil., M.Sc., etc.) with at least 55 percent (reserved at 50 percent)

2.  Use the ASTU website to apply online and pay the required application fee (UG ~1,000, PG ~1,500, Ph.D. ~2,000).
3.  Assam CEE, NATA, GATE, CAT, JMEE, and other entrance exams, depending on the program.
4.  Results and counseling via ASTU or DTE Assam processes.
5.  Verification of documents, payment of fees, and enrollment in classes.
